Ducks- Blue Black ???Splash???

I just ordered a pair of Blue East Indies. Are they like chickens Blue X Blue= Blue Black AND ?Splash?. Or how does it work. I wasnt planning on breeding them together. I am going to mix them into my Black Indie line.

Yes, that is how it works in ducks

black x splash = 100% blue
splash x blue = 50% blue 50% splash
splash x splash = 100% splash
blue x black = 50% blue 50% black
blue x blue = 50% blue, 25% black, 25% splash

Splash would be an either white or dark grey background with black specks on them

Here's some pics of a few hens (chicken) I have that are splash. They are both grey with black, but one is darker than the other

I don't know that BEI would be the same, but I would assume it would be similar

I know what splash chickens look like just never seen a splash duck. Very pretty birds!

Most of my splash are white with blue specks or a silver cast to them. I've only had two that were darker with whit specks on them, but they were gorgeous!
