My little darlings are about 3 1/2 months old. The two drakes started last week.pestering the hens for ... good times .... in the pool.
I watched the khaki hen lay down and accept. The Pekin just tries to avoid the situation, but has been the preferred female, and the Mallard, she's too quick for them to grab.
I read they don't start laying until 5 months. But if the females are being accepting, should I be looking for eggs soon? Or just being horny teenagers?
