Duck's chest seems swollen - need advice

They need to get rid of the snapping turtle they will kill, bite of legs and feet of waterfowl. I suggested warm water because it seems to help them relax and possibly lay an egg if there's one stuck.

If an egg has busted inside then she is at risk of infection and would need medical help. best thing to do would be to remove her from the rest for a few days so she can be observed enough to actually know what maybe going on. If you can pick up this duck she really needs to be gone over checked for wounds even. under all the down at skin level.

Ok trying this again need to put my contacts in lol guilty of brief reading warm water would be good for helping her relax b/c of broke egg. I was thinking cold for general swimming.

I've seen a similar thing happen to two of my Muscovy ducks (though they were not ducklings anymore). Basically, the neck/chest area was swollen, almost touching the ground. It seemed like the ducks had food stuck in their 'crops' (though apparently Muscovy duck don't have crops like chickens do).
The first time I didn't know what to do, and after some time I decided to dispatch the duck; in hindsight this turned out to be a wise decision.
In a normal duck (or chicken) there are a set of glands down the sides of the esophagus and trachea (wind pipe). In the cases of these two ducks, one or more of the glands had grown abnormally large. In fact, I found with the first duck that what should have been a bean sized gland had swollen to tennis ball size!
The attached image shows the second duck which had this complication; in this case I recognized problem and didn't let the situation progress too far.
