ok, got our new older duck and she's just a real cutie! We got a first egg from her today but we found it in the afternoon and it's so hot out that the egg was really hot. Is it bad if it's been out in the heat like that? I'm new to all of this so I'd appreciate any feedback.

As long as it's not fertile, it should be ok. We've eaten chicken eggs that have stayed out all weekend in the early summer (that were fertile LOL) and they were fine. My best friend has ducks and I know she only picks up her eggs in the afternoon once her hubby gets home from work & watches the kids so she can.

Congrats on your egg! I'm still waiting on mine to start laying

Depends if your eating or wanting babies. If you are concerned about eating the egg, crack it in a bowl first and give it a whiff. You'll know if its bad. I wouldn't worry though. If its fertile or your wanting to hatch, I'd take the first few away from mom and then let her have at it.
