I did the same here today it may be over their heads now lol we're going to have about 4 days just above zero.

Here’s my set up (new bedding today) I have 4” of pine flakes and then a few inches of straw hopefully it’s enough!

We got a few inches of snow last night. It's astonishing how much the ducks enjoy it. They're napping outside now even though they have a sheltered run and house.

Mine have been outside all day too with wind chill at 9*, tonight 5* with wind chill -20 we have some brave ducks or looney ones lol

All they need is some syrup and they have a giant snowcone. Don't you just love Runners they enjoy life so much.

It was about 8 degrees last night. They seemed to be perky and fine this morning which was a relief. Wisely, they are staying in the shelter of the run this morning since it's only 11 degrees and very windy. I started putting flakes of straw down yesterday on the floor of the run (which is otherwise just grass) so they could burrow around and keep their feet warm. Apparently this was a big hit! They seem to enjoy napping on them even more than in their little house.
