I have been 'googling' trying to find some literature discussing using ducks for bug control in orchards. I find studies on bats for control of codling moth, but nothing on ducks. Anyone know of any such literature?

Anything....can't find anything in print, but experience is welcome too. Chickens as well. Member of a local fruit society, and keep hearing insect control by ducks/chickens (which of course I use) but not sure (since it is my first year with the ducks and haven't paid much attention to fruit trees previously) what the impact in my yard has been. Have been trying to find someone to speak to the society on the subject, but not finding anyone, so looking to do some research and "wing" it myself maybe!

we dont use them in an orchard, but we do live in FL where we have large amounts of bugs. Everything inside the fence line where the duck flocks can reach is bug free now. No spiders, no roaches, no bugs. If we rest an area the bugs return and the ducks work hard again.
