ducks free ranging

i have 5 rouens ducks 9 weeks old when can i free range them.also when do they get thier colored feathers

This is what I replied to your email earlier today (in case you didn't get it)

If they are females, they will stay brown. If they are males they will start to molt to the "greenhead" in another month or so. Though being so late in the summer, they may keep their brown feathering til next spring.
