I can't say enough good things about Metzer and their ducks. I got 50 last May, and have been getting 36 eggs a day through winter. All were healthy,no foot or leg. problems, and The Metzer folk are super easy to work . For healthy,productive waterfowl, use Metzer.

I have ordered from them twice in 1999 and 2004 and have had no problems. I will say that they 1999 generation were better quality than the 2004 gen. I base this on appearance, hardiness, and egg production which I track closely.

I will probably order another gen from them this spring and am interested to compare their quality.

Did I read somewhere on here that Metzers bought a bunch of Holderreads chocolate runners. My blue Metzer runner is really stock built but my chocs are really slender compared to her, so is my F&W.

My boyfriend who is in the military ordered my daughter and I some duck eggs from Metzers. He ordered 4 but they sent 6. Out of the 6 eggs 5 of them hatched. He ordered them for us to have something to pass the time while he's away.
