ducks keep going in neighbors yard!!

While we may LOVE our birds, neighbors shouldn't have to contend with birds pooping all over their yard or eating their flowers, etc. It just cannot be. Our birds belong on our property. End of story.

Allowing our birds to trespass on a neighbor's property is simply unacceptable. Birds have absolutely no understanding of property lines. None. Those concepts are of human origin. I'm sure you will come up with a larger pen or moveable fencing or someway of keeping them safe and at home. Best hopes for you and your birds.

You are a better person than me. I now go out armed if I see a dog. I wouldn't shoot it for just being here, I would scare it off (and have about 5 times) but if it is going after the birds, it better hope my aim doesn't improve. I've lost more chickens to dogs than to wild predators here.

Understandable. that said, one i don't own a gun, two i knew who the dog was and they have a son with autism, so i just grabbed my leash and gave a call... it doesn't happen often... The other neighbours who moved(thank you!!) now they were an issue there shepherds were always over here, thankfully this is before we had poultry but they would have been an issue, they were irresponsible, not just a oops moment.

I didn't think of the dog issue...he did mention that...now I'm nervous :x I need to find a way to contain them now for sure but what they did was cross the street and walk right up their driveway, so I would need to fence my entire front yard and driveway...is an invisible electric fence for dogs effective? And how expensive do they run?

I mean an electric fence traditionally used for dogs, but meant for my ducks. I guess it would keep the dog out too lol
