ducks laying eggs

Well, you have 2 choices. You can keep them in lock-up until about 10 am (which will make unhappy duckies).
Or, you can do what I do. Walk the hay field each day looking for the new hiding spot. Here are some of my girl's faves:
1. Under the skidloader
2. Under the tractor
3. In any bunch of grass taller than the rest
4. Under the smoker grill
5. In the dog house. (lucky duck...)
6. ??? There are so many that I never find, and none of my girls have turned broody.
I try to find all eggs each day because I do not want to attract more predators to the area.

totally agree... it took my 10 days to find a nest that my aruacana laid, and I looked and looked for it, would watch her as best as I could throught the day to give a clue as to where she was laying and never figured it out, then all of a sudden one day I had nothing to do and decided to move some logs and brush in the back and under a log was her eggs... you just have to look
