My runner ducks leg is warm to touch. Noticeably different than the opposite. She was limping yesterday, I inspected her foot and didn't see anything. Sprayed it with betadine clear. Today she is still limping and I've noticed it's warm. What else can I do? I've given rooster booster tonight and some other vitamins. Obviously it's late now so she's in her cage the rest of the night.

If you don't see bumble, do you see swelling? My Runner must have sprained her leg running up and down the hill just a couple days ago. I gave her Poultry Cell and waited today she is fine, it can take a few days or longer to recover from a sprain Best thing to do is give time out. Resting and not over doing, like most runners are always busy.

Thank you! I don't see swelling. It was warm yesterday but cooler than the night before so must have been a sprain.

Keep us updated. I have found with my older ducks if they get a sprain they will rest on their own and recover a few of my younger have to be put into rehab area so they will rest and recoup.

I will update tonight when I can catch her and see. Thank you!!

How's your Runner?
Hi! Sorry a disappeared a few days. She seemed okay but is now still holding her leg up again it's so odd. Checked thoroughly today and her bottom looks just fine. Theyve all been confined to a smaller area the last three days. I'm not sure what to do. Safe to assume it's a sprain or something? I have six all girls. When initially posted they had broken out and got to our pond where I found male ducks so I thought it could be mating.

I can add some poultry cell back to their water at night.

I'm about to fill up a container and let her float a bit. Let me know if there's anything else I should try.

Are you sure this is abnormal for her. I see my Runners standing with one leg up a lot. Does she limp? Go ahead and add the poultry cell it sure won't hurt.
