Ducks mailed and still not arrived yet!

ok, the same thing happened to me today. We ended up calling them and it turns out theyere hippe backto the hatchery, due to bad weather. I suggest you call them and see whats happened. Good luck!

I think there are some letters missing. Are you saying the ducklings were shipped back to the hatchery?? Really? I would have thought that Metzer would have known this by Thursday the last time we called. But either way...wouldn't they call us to tell us what happened with our order if they knew or had it returned?

I live in KY and we got 15 in the mail was not running for the last 2 days nothing was running, I feel so sorry for any one with ducklings in the mail. good luck.

Well the post office finally called. The ducks arrived and they are all dead. The lady at the post office said they've never had a problem with the bird delivery before.

I'm very sorry. The postal service is known for being horrible about getting packages right. I really think the delays had to do with the weather though.

When dh went to pick them up he learned the local feed and seed's large chick order is missing this week. And a friend on another forum had a chick delay this week too. Over 30 were dead on arrival and then another 20 died within 24 hrs of arrival. Also due to being in the mail too long. It's just a very bad week for a bunch of little birdies out there.

Yeah, they really are crummy in general. Though I have to say our local mailman is SO nice and better than all the other's we've dealt with. They would just toss packages on the ground by the mailbox at the end of our driveway if they didn't fit. He always walks our packages to the door with a friendly smile.

The box also clearly stated 2 day mail. It must have just been the weather. Poor little ducklings. My teen boy is outside digging a hole to bury them right now.

I would think so, but they didnt for us. It was very frustrating, and they sould have called us.
