What age did your ducks move to the duck coop/run?
I still bring mine back inside at night. Their getting closer to 9 weeks. I have 3 muscovies and they’re just getting so big for their tub I put them in.

Also what should I put over the holes on their coop. I saw someone mention a type of fabric once instead of chicken wire but I couldn’t find it remember what?

Heres my 3!

It would be helpful if you had your location under your avatar picture.

Simple to do and really helps people help you. Just go to the top right where your "BYC name" is and click. A drop-down menu will take you to “Account Details”. If you put your location there it will always be under your picture.

Once we find out where you are it will be easier to help you with this question.

Why is my location needed? I’m not sure I understand. I’ll check it out though.

Well, because we don't know your climate! It makes a difference if you are in Texas, Alaska or Norway on how we advise. There are people who post here from all over the world.

Ok so Oklahoma is probably not freezing cold right now and at 9 weeks I can't see it being a problem to put them outside. I put mine out over a week ago and they were not even 3 weeks old yet.

Yeah I didn’t think that through as much. I was just expecting people to say their experiences at what age. Sorry I wasn’t trying to be rude. I was confused.

well I guess technically this past week they’ve been sleeping outside in their tub with chicken wire over the top. I leave them out in their run all day though. I just wasn’t sure when it would be safe for them to start sleeping in their coop. I wasn’t worried about temp. Since I know it’s been warm enough for them at night.

Hopefully, you are not going to put them in that outside! They will get taken faster than you can say jackrabbit! But, I know you said "coop" so I am hoping you meant a secure predator-proof structure right?

I a tub with chicken wire over top sounds like a predator buffet!
Oh no! I have a few 2x4 over the top. I live in the city so we don’t have to many predators to worry about but I’ll start bringing them back in. Our coop isn’t predator proof though. What should I put over exposed holes?

I have been. We live in the city so we don’t have to many predators around but I’ll start bringing them back in. I have a few 2x4 over the top. I need to predator proof the coop though. That what I was also asking for advice for.
