Hi folks,
I am new to ducks, I have had a few chickens for years but added a pair of Khaki Campbell ducks to my backyard flock. The female has gone broody so I am letting her sit on her egg. I want her to hatch about 8 eggs but have questions. Once she has laid 8, I plan to take any new eggs out of the nest and bring them in the house. Is is OK if I mark the older eggs with a sharpie so I know to leave those eggs in her nest? Would the sharpie ink harm the eggs? If this is not a good idea how do you know which eggs are the recently laid ones?
