Ducks vs Geese with food and water

Zoowee, maybe set up a low rise raised bed you can grow grasses in and water it only for a spot for the Greece to graze. Since you only have two geese, you could make two and keep one off limits while they eat the other, then switch so the first can recover and grow tall again. Just a thought to keep them in grass. Oddly enough geese love anything green to munch on, weeds, grass, hay field, beans, peas. New green growth and they are all over it.
We have the opposit problem, the geese can't keep up with the growth rate of our grass. Still have more fencing to finish and will have another spot they can graze
Actually I have a spot picked out by the pond. We have a raised bed surround part of the brick patio. Nothing is in it right now. Well dirt is. :p What kind of grass do you recommend? Is there any they think is more tasty than others? I can plant that this weekend. :D I can keep that area watered at the least. Thanks Celtic!

Millet seed, wheat seed, oats, rye grass, really anything green and fresh will make them happy. I plant brown millet and Bahia grass here because of our heat. The Bahia can take heat and traffic so it holds up well. Clover seed is another good one. If you fence it in (even just stakes and chicken wire) to protect it when it's newly growing you can even add pea seeds and salad blends. They most enjoy the young leafy greens so find something local and maybe something the family would benefit from too.

With our intense sun I run shade cloth over the salad greens raised beds so they don't burn out.

Yesterday the weather was good so the goslings got to go outside. I was really surprised with what happened. At first they stayed very close to me and hubby cheeping and cheeping and cheeping but walking around but staying close. After a few minutes they started looking at anything green and mouthing it. Within 30 minutes they were stripping tender leaves of the weedy grass like pros. They are little machines! Every now and then one would sit down for 30 seconds and hop up and get back to work!
