Ducks went into the pond for the first time..

This was their first time swimming in water that wasn’t in a plastic bin.

Nibbler swam around next to my wife who waded in to coax them into the water. My other duck, peep, wouldn’t go in. So we put Peep in and she (I think she is a she since she has started quacking frequently) ran out and quacked angrily at the pond from its bank

Yes, Be sure you don't have snappers in there they will eat the ducklings right up, I always set a trap out a week in advance before my ducklings go in.

I’ve raked the bottom pretty well and haven’t seen any turtles of any kind so I think we are good. But am going to do regular searches
