Ok,

We have 10 Chicken hens and two roosters, along with two Pekin hens (I think). I am about to put nesting boxes in the coop where they ALL sleep at night and hang out. The chickens are beginning to lay out in the yard (3 acres) and I need to get them in the nesting boxes.
My main question for the ducks is, what do I need to do to make them comfy when laying eggs? Will they use the nesting boxes as well? The are on the floor of the coop. ( or will be this weekend...)

My Muscovy lays her eggs in the same nesting box as the hens, on the floor. I use soft, short hay with some saw dust at the bottom. She tend to either eat or throw out the hay, so I have to replace it all the time...

Thank you!! That really puts my mind at ease for the two duckies. I did some research and have figured that they are both hens, as they QUACK!!! Nothing dainty about these two at all!! Messy and LOUD!!

So lucky that they're both female! Lots of yummy duck eggs coming your way. :thumbsup
