Ducks won't use house

I bribed mine with thawed frozen peas for about 2 weeks to get them into their house at night. Now they go in every night before I even get out there to lock them up. They even go in before the chickens most of the time.

Your ramp looks fine. Most ducks prefer to sleep outside. They will only go in the house if you make them. If you make them go into the house for a couple weeks, they will get into a routine. Other than that, they will only use it if it’s really really cold outside.

Not sure what type of set up you have?..:idunno
Mine are calm and zero issues...:frow

They have like about a 4" step and they just have to do everything together and knock each other over in the rush when I herd them in at night. Then when I go to open the door in the morning they all start jumping around and flapping their wings when I get close before the door is even unlocked and all come spilling out.

All animals feed off our energy...If your excited so will they be. Try not rushing to get them out and be relaxed..They will be too...;)...:frow

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful advice! I mostly want them to understand they have the option to use the house to get out of really strong sun or weather. I'll feel bad if I block off the underneath and take their shelter away. The run is really fortified so it's totally fine if they choose to sleep outside.

I'll work on making the ramp more web friendly and try to get them in with peas. They don't like being picked up so I think that would be more of a punishment. Thanks a lot and I'll let y'all know how it goes.

I forgot to add that there are two vents at the top of the house, both covered with hardware fabric. It is pretty dark in there though, I hadn't considered that being a negative.
