I got 2 welsh harlequin ducks, and was told one was a girl and one was a boy. The female( as i thought) is alot bigger and has a raspy voice, yellow beak, yellow feet, and her head is turning green

The male( as i thought) is smaller, black beak, strong quack, and is just black and white pretty much.

Is there any way that they ARE the gender i thought?!?! They have names according to what gender i thought they were?!? HELP

Lol. Happened to me too. Oh well keep their names it will make for good conversation lol. I don't believe their is any way way it could be the other way if your sure one is quack n. Boys sound like they have smokers cough but seem to keep their baby peep longer than the girls so it takes a while to tell.

Oh my goodness.. My (not) female took a while to even get past a peep and then she had a smokers sounding rasp and we were always confused why it sounded that way but my (not) male had a strong loud quack. I still love them completely but im shocked ahah
