is there a reason why my Five month ducks all get in the pool in a certain order every single time without fail?

Hi i was wondering is it safe to keep chickens and ducks in the same run and coop and what needs to be done differnt

Well I’m kind of a newbie but I have chickens and ducks together in the run and the coop
Ducks are messier and need way more food and tons of water , it makes it double the work. Ducks need niacin and green vegetables and a pool or something they can get in to bathe daily . When I put new chicks out My ducks will slightly bulky them for a day or two but then they are fine . I haven’t had to much of a problem. The ducks don’t perch and need a bed or box on the ground . That’s about the extent of it . They are doing fine together

I don’t have a problem having my ducks and chickens sleeping in the same coop. My Muscovy's roost along with the chickens my Runners sleep on the floor. I did put up poop boards to keep my ducks from being pooped on since they would sleep under the roosts. During breeding season things can get interesting but no one gets hurt just some picking. I don’t leave food an water inside my coops once the chicks and ducklings are 5 weeks old. Ducks are way too messy.

Haha this is a trick question right? and :welcome

Keeping ducks and chickens together inside their coop? don't leave food and water inside.

Outside in a run that is going to be hard, ducks are messy they will splash their water buckets make a mess around them and if you put a pool inside then muddy ground.. Do your birds free range at all? if they do keep your pool outside of the run and put some kind of smooth rocks around your watering stations that will help with drainage. I put landscaping cloth down before I put down the rocks. You want your rock smooth though because sharp means bumble foot.
