Ducks

I was wondering if I were to put my duck in with all my hens, do I need multiple ducks or will the chickens be enough company?

Is your duck a drake or hen? Duck hens raised with chicken hens can do fine. Drakes with chicken hens can result in serious problems.

It could potentially work out if she is raised with them as chicks. Birds are much happier if they have at least one other friend of their kind though.

Agreed, they need a friend of their own kind. Plopping a lone duck in with a flock of chickens would be like you being plopped in with a group of apes.

They don't behave the same way, don't speak the same language, and have different needs.
