Hi my DH has been nagging me to get some ducks [IMG] not hard to twist my arm hehe
But I have a few questions first

    1. How do shipped duck eggs go do they have a good hatching rate. I would like at least 4 ducks so how many eggs would be best to try and insure that. Dont mind any extras that hatch [IMG]

    2. Can all the ducklings (ducks and drakes) live harmoniously if raised together?
If so what breeds are best for this (temperament)

    3. Might be a strange question but do ducks cross breed like chickens?

Personally, I would order from a hatchery if you don't have prior hatching experience. Then try to hatch some eggs from those. Ducks ARE very messy, so be prepared! (If you don't want a lot of them there are a couple hatcheries that let you buy based on minumim purchase price, not minimum quantity. I think Ideal has a min of $20....
