Duckwing Photography: Lacy Duckwing's Photography Thread

OMG your photography is amazing!!!!!! I have the same camera as you, a Canon T7! I am definitely still a beginner photograph though and can never seem to get my chicken pics right:( I keep tweaking the ISO and Aperature and shutter speed. What shutter speed do you use for chicken photography?
Thank you! My shutter speed is usually 1/200 on M (Manual Exposure) and no less. If the sun is shining on them or if they're a brighter bird (red bird with red comb), I'll go higher to darken the picture. I use Sports a lot too, which will sometimes automatically get everything perfect, but the pictures typically need to be watched because sometimes the lighting will be too bright.

Last night I successfully took some pictures of the Northern Lights. I don't think they came out the greatest (especially after seeing everyone else's beautiful shots), but I was at least able to capture some color, so that's better than my first attempt. Anyway, I figured I'd share my favorites.

Nice pics! Those clouds look cool. Where did you shoot these from?

Thanks! I shot them here in Maine. There's a mini field near my home that I've often taken my chickens to for photo shoots and that's where I went because it had the most open space to shoot in.
