So in a sudden burst of memory, I thought about the digital outdoor thermometer. it also measures humidity so i stuck it in with the eggs. currently we are at about 90% and 78. considering we just got this all started and hour ago, not too bad. I may remove one of the damp cloths.

That too high, get it down to near 70%.

You do NOT want damp/wet towels touching the eggs, they will chill and dry the eggs out.

Congrats, I see the humidity is at 90% if you don't try to get it down your going to have some sticky ducklings.

update this morning? Any more hatch?

I am at work, but I had the wife open the lid and remove the damp towel to reduce humidity. We can see movement in the egg with a hole. so hopefully, today we should gain another. Good thing we did bring these in. The girls were ignoring them and temp dropped into the low 50s overnight.

Are their any vent holes n the homemade Bator?

We keep the top loose so that air is vented. The 1st to hatch this morning is doing well. She is talking a LOT! there is another with a good pip hole. we can see her moving but not in a hurry.
