dude looks like a lady?

So this is Sweet Cheeks... I just noticed "her" pointy feathers. "She's" a 7.5 week old EE. No wattles, no bright red comb, no crowing (I have heard some squacky sounds in the AM, but can't pinpoint where they are coming from), just lots of pointy saddle, hackle and tail feathers. What do you all think? Dude or Lady?

Feathering is looking male, but the absence of comb & wattles is throwing me off, just as it is you. I am afraid I don't have an answer, but I am sure that more experienced folks will give you good info. I will say that the top shot does show some more female looking feathers. I am leaning toward female. Best wishes!!

It looks EXACTLY like one of the EE pullets I have.

In my opinion EE's tend to feather out a little like a male in the hackle feathers, that looks like a pullet to me.

I also say pullet

. I have a little girl with the same type of feathering, but if you look closely, her saddle feathers aren't actually pointy. It's just the pattern of the black markings on her back feathers that give them the illusion of being pointy. Have you actually picked her up and put your finger under a single feather and really looked at it? That's what I had to do
