Thats 14 out of the 17 at lockdown. Started with 19 but 2 were infertile. I'm am jumping with joy.
Hope I get a nice roo to replace a mean RIR.

not good

found a fully hatched chick dead with peck marks on its head - one chick 1/2 out of the shell dead and what looked like holes in the eggs from the hen - she was on top of them and when she ran out side the coop i check and it was a mess ????? I brought in 3 eggs, the rest were dead. The eggs i brought in had huge holes in them & totaly dry, but the chicks were still alive, So I played dr mom damped them with wet warm paper towels, got them to hatch... 1 did die so I have 2 that seem to be doing pretty good, 1 silkie & 1 show Girl. What a day... The hen is still sitting as if she has eggs... what do I do about that??

5 Coturnix chicks from my 11/3 hatch date. 11/3 on the dot. I wonder how they knew this.

11/31 hatch was a bust, but my quail hatch was a success!!

awww thank you, she / he is doing great.. will be a friendly thing, peeps untill we hold she/ he... poor thing i wish 2 would of made it, hate to have a loner. I should be having some hatchin in less then 3 weeks so I may bring one in just so there are 2.

Well, I didn't do the math beforehand, but I had 17 teeny tiny serama chicks hatch from mbrobbins' eggs on 10-31~~They are so cute! One is super tiny, I really hope that one makes it. It sure does seem to sleep a lot
