Okay, the tweezers idea helped me out a bit. Tonight, I first soaked her feet in epsom salt. I decided to try the tweezers before the tricide-neo. I picked off some of the scab on the right foot and she wasn't bothered at all. I started the left foot and grabbed a good chunk with the tweezers (unfortunately this is the "better" foot). The scab split almost in half and a few drops of liquid puss came out. After that it was just blood. I decided to leave it alone for now and soaked it in the tricide. I figure the medicine has a better chance of getting up in there now. She only seemed to be bothered as I was rewrapping her feet.
And, on the plus side... I didn't throw up! lol I'll keep with this same routine for awhile. Maybe I'll eventually be able to stomach an actual surgery.
