Do you put chicken wire on the bottom of a chicken tractor?

No. Mainly because the chickens have to be able to walk along with the tractor as you move it -- if there was wire there, the weight of the chickens would pin the tractor to the ground, and if you *did* manage to lift it, their toes would get seriously squashed by the wire mesh when you set the tractor back down.

Two other considerations are that it'd interfere with their ability to scratch around in the dirt which is such an essential part of what chickens are all about; and you wouldn't want to use *chickenwire* anyhow as it is not really very strong where predators are concerned.
