No dumb questions here. Some are easier to answer than others, but the only dumb question is the one not asked.

"My computer is not working." "Is it plugged in?" That sounds like a silly question but you's be surprised how many problems it solves. You should never be afraid to ask an obvious question.

Anyway, straight run means the chicks are pulled from the just-hatched bin before any of them are sexed. This does not mean you will get 50%-50%. You'll get whatever the odds gods decide to give you. I once got 7 pullets and no roosters from a straight run order. So I have to wonder about the obvious. Did I get 100% pullets from a straight run or did they misread my order?

Sex run--meaning not sexed--you get what you get--male or female--no promises... and usually cheaper to buy--for the usual reasons...LOL

My straight run chicks cost more then the sexed pullets. LOL I guess it depends on the breed. My Mille Fleur cost me the most of all of them.
