dumb question??

if i had a broody hen and i wanted to put some eggs under her, other than chicken eggs, would she kill them once they hatched, or raise them like they were chickens? thanks.

she will raise them as her own there is no such thing as a stupid question

We've raised guineas with a broody hen before. I remember my grandma saying the hens did better with them than the guinea hens did.

We raised ducks with a broody hen once. Pretty funny watching the huge ducklings try to burrow under their banty mom, they would lift her all the way off the ground! Eventually they would settle in one on each side of her and she would have one wing over each of them.
