When feeding ducks rolled oats, do u cook them ? I am almost embarrassed to post this

Firstly, there are no dumb questions. If one doesn't know, guess what, they don't know.

You can cook them or not. Legumes like soybeans must be heat treated but grains don't.

For my littles, I chopped them up a bit. For adults, I just added them to the pellets.

You guys talking about feed store oats? I have to buy whole oats for my goats feed mix (big 50lb bag) that takes a loooong time to go through. Can I add the whole oats to my ducks feed? Or should they be rolled? How much do you feed/add in? So curious now lol

I have a small flock, and we humans eat oats, so when they were little, the only feed I could find was too high in protein and I added oats to cut the protein percentage. I used rolled oats. As I said, I had them, and I buy them in bulk. If I had goat feed oats, I would have used that.
