Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat - Part 2 : Chicken Boogaloo.

My friend (she is 5) Was listening to me talk about my EEs and was like: I don't like green eggs. Me: have you ever tried them? Her: no.

I posted about how it was cold enough to freeze the chicken nipples last night on my facebook, and I'm a little disappointed in the total lack of commits I got from that.  

First cold snap here in SE Michigan that got cold enough to freeze the water in my nipple bucket waterer.  And sure enough, the nipples were froze this morning.  I sat the girls up with a dog dish of fresh water for the day.  Going to be glad to have my ten pound lifting limit lifted on monday so I can swap out my waterers to the heated one.  

I don't have that problem right now. We have wildfires to keep the water thawed.

I find this HYSTERICAL!!!!

I cant tell you how often I say things (both on accident or on purpose) that have me laughing so hard I'm crying, only to hear the sound of crickets chirping from the people around me. DH says I'm the only person who thinks I'm funny, but I know he's cracking up behind that serious exterior.

Thanks. Rain's not due until Saturday and it's no more than you can spit. Heard they caught the firebug who started the one in Rabun Co, closest to me. A 21 year old genius who thought the attention would give his desired career as a meterologist a start. It'll certainly give him a start on a chain gang.

The owner of little hobby farm near me that sells their eggs says that nobody ever wants to buy the green or blue eggs. He says he offers to give them away as free extras when they buy a carton of 'regular' eggs & they still wont take them. People are CRAZY!!! We bought two Cream Legbar chicks this summer on purpose so that we could have colored eggs. One of the girls just started laying last week, tiny, pale green eggs & the whole house is SO EXCITED!!! We all let out an adoring "Awwwwww!" when the kids bring one in.

I take eggs to my Mom when I visit a couple times a year. She lets my nieces pick their egg for breakfast. There have been tears because they all wanted the same blue egg.

It's the adults I know that seem to have issues. One of my brothers is weirded out by the dark yolks in my eggs
