I have a lot too. but my poor hens don;t like it. SO the roos have their own pen except for the two I keep with the hens for breeding. Thats 5 roos in a pen
According to this guy, your five roos in the same pen would have done a battle royale now until only one was left. :p

I have one rooster that likes to fight the other boys, but the two biggest roosters tend to knock him down a peg when he starts fights.

I had 2 roosters in my main pen. I added my older rooster to that pen a few weeks ago, and put in an immature juvenile boy last week. No fighting. The older rooster doesn't tolerate it. The girls are all happy to have him back in with them. He doesn't let the younger rooster grab and mount all the hens against their will. The girls yell and he comes running to save them. ALL of the other males I have give him a wide berth and show respect. He really just has to look at them.

This thread is cracking me up...

Mine is like that but before we had the new pen build I had 7 together with the hend and they would gang up.. my big boy got worn out fending them off the hens. No he can manage with just the other one and keeps him in line.

Not chicken, but when I tell people my husband and I built our house from the ground up I get. "What contractor did you use" or "Isn't it so stressful organizing and dealing with contractors."
It takes a while to get them to understand we built it. As in wielding hammers, saws, nails, etc... ourselves. Then I get the " That must have been fun" NO, it wasn't fun. It was rewarding, not fun.
