This from my DGS : "what kind of birds are those? "
Me : chickens
GS : really?
Me : yes, those are silkies.
gs: then what are those?
me : those are other chickens. RIR, black stars, red stars, and ameracaunas.
gs : do they all lay eggs?
me : they girls do.
gs : are they American chickens?
me : they were all born in Alabama, so yes.
gs : can you eat the eggs?
me : of course!
gs : Ewww!

I showed a colleague of mine a photo of my ameraucana Muffy's first egg today - it was green, and she was like, is it ripe? Can you really eat the green ones?
I'm sure this has been said already a hundred times, but it always cracks me up...and this woman is a lawyer!!!! Presumably well educated! HAH!!!

She did however fall in love with my golden laced polish and wants to steal her....I would too but she's already mine!
Muhahahahahaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Had a friend over when the neighbor was sweet enough to bring use a venison shoulder. I stripped it down and put the meat in the freezer. Gave the scapula to the chickens. My friend was horrified. The little velociraptors descended on it with a vengeance. My friends, " My god they are so vicious!"

A friend of ours whose family has chickens says that his mother has commented that she would not want to pass out in the chicken pen because she couldn't be sure she'd ever wake up again.

I have a gal friend we watched braveheart with, she is a nurse, and has enough education to be a doctor, and at the end of the movie, she said, I don't think William Wallace will survive, because of infection.

I watched it with braveheart with another college educated friend, and she said, "oh I love this movie, this is where he falls in love with the Indian girl."

Think of that scene in "The Lost World" where the guy falls in the lake and the Compys swarm all over him.
