I bet it's hilarious!Did anyone see the funny bit on Jimmy Kimmel show where he stops people on the street who swear they always eat gluten free, and he asks them what gluten is and not one of them has the foggiest idea.
Uggers. Hadn't thought about THAT. Glad my home I've moved to has a well!
I bet it's hilarious!
I saw it! Just another example of a blind allegiance to a fad. BTW, I'm not disparaging gluten-free lifestyle nor celiac disease, just the fact that people do things without knowing why or the intricacies therefor solely because it's the latest Dr. Oz craze. (Remember Acai juice? Turns out the health benefits were just a bunch of hooey, but not before everybody blindly went out and purchased the latest touted miracle elixir)
Yes, there are benefits for certain folks to be glutenless, but it has also been show that gluten-free may not be all that great for one's health, especially if they are not suffering from celiac.
LOVE Jimmy Kimmel, btw. The best late-night monologue entertainment out there. His best bits, IMHO, are where he has parents trick their children and send in videos of their reactions. The "I ate all your Halloween candy" bit was priceless. You can catch them on YouTube.
This is absolutely not true. Where on earth did you get that information?
