Nevermind. I can't delete the entire post I just made so I'm typing this. Basically, just try and remember that some of us come to this thread for shiggles. We come to this site to get away from Facebook cattiness. So can we get back to posting what the thread is supposed to be? Stupid stuff stupid people say about our chickens and/or eggs?

So sorry we somehow offended you with the natural flow of conversation in this thread. I didn't see any cattines until your post above. Enjoy your thread.

yeah i really wanted to get one of the those signs that says trespassers will be shot and survivors will be shot again lol's :thumbsup

Ok since people insist on bringing this up, I think it's a horrible human being that would wish harm and death on their neighbor just because they disagreed with them. What if tge neighbor was a doctor who took the vow of "do no harm" seriously? Or for that matter, a christian who truly believes in "thou shalt not kill"? Do they deserve to be hurt because of your personal beliefs? How twisted.

I think a sign would tell them to stay away.

When I hit reply the quote included that picture about "go shoot and rob the neighbors because they don't agree with us about carrying guns".

Oh. Thought you were talking about the sign "trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again. "

As for that other sign, if my neighbors don't carry, that doesn't bother me, as long as they don't try to tell me I can't carry.

That's my issue. It's all "live and let live" and "as long as they let me do what I like" (not in your case, but I see it A LOT) until it gets to this one subject, then it's "I hope you get murdered!" :hmm I think it's beyond mistaken to think everyone should go armed. My grandpa had a pistol and also had Alzheimer disease, as did his wife. Letting him have ammo would have been incredibly irresponsible, especially towards the end when he was having violent fits.

I see your point, in some cases it would be irresponsible, and downright dangerous, to uphold certain rights, not just guns, but being able to drive, cook, etc.

That being said, perhaps one should look at a case by case basis. I have seen some 20somethingswho shouldn't be allowed out without a keeper, and some 80+ seniors who are just as viable as a thirty year old.

The only constant there is in dealing with people is ....there is no constant!

Completely agree. It's fairly rare that a situation is 100% black and white, and I dislike it when people try to deal in absolutes.
