Dumbest thing people have said..........................Hmm

You need to quit obsessing over chickens, you have way too many....................................

How dumb is that????????????

Do they have a specific number in mind for the "right" number? When does one know when the scale has tipped into the "too many" category? How many constitutes WAY too many? If you reduce by one or two chickens, is that a more appropriate number? What happens if you lose a few? What about if you want to sell some eggs or hatch some babies ... is there a limit on that number? Is there a limit on how many chickens one can own in any case? How do they know?

So many questions.

Wow, funny.... I have never had anyone raise an eyebrow about eating brown or blue eggs! Lots of "do you have to have a rooster to get eggs?" to which, i respond "do womens ovaries not release eggs unless a man is around? Haha! :p

Does the goose lady say what they ARE, if they're not birds? From what I remember, my friend didn't know. She just knew with absolute certainty that chickens cannot be birds!

I have 5 Cornish rocks we are raising for meat and I've had some family think I'm cruel (mind you, I have 7 other hens for laying' RIR and welsummers) they ask me if we've named them and my 3YEAR OLD tells them, no those are dinner chickens! That usually shuts them up! Plus I've nicknamed them, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, et!!c...most friends are excited I'll have fresh eggs soon, but some have declined anymore Sunday dinners! Oh well, their loss:)
