Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

Ohhh...ohmygoodness. Ok guys. I live in a very very rural area. Everyone has farms. So I was just talking to my neighbor whose dog had gotten loose and said how I was glad I hadn't let the chickens out yet because he would have eaten them, and I mentioned how many eggs we had. Would you believe she won't eat "an egg from a chicken"?? She'll eat store ones and I think she knows they're the same, as she said it was "just a psychological thing" ...but I never thought I'd have to deal with that here. I just held my tongue :)

I work with a young lady that does not know how to cook using a recipe.......

So someone says........ Then you don't know how to cook.

She says...... Yes I do. Just take what ever it is out of the box and put it in the microwave. Push the right buttons and dinner is served!

She has THREE children. *sigh*

I had a conversation with a guy at work this morning that's impossible to duplicate, but his logic is that he is morally pure by eating chicken that comes from the store because it's already in a package that doesn't look like an animal, which means he doesn't have to think about where it came from. I, on the other hand, am a mean person because I take one of my happy, free-range chickens and purposely kill that chicken.
I told him that the chickens he eats live short but tortured lives in factory farms, but he feels that he has no guilt as long as he doesn't have to think about it. That pretty well sums up much of the stupidity in our world today.
