Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

I see your point but I mean he has lower reasoning skills than most but some managers I have seen at my company cannot figure out how to set up simple "some assembly required" displays and while this fellow has some problems trying to assemble the displays he can at least point out this goes here that goes there while my bosses cant even figure out how to get it out of the package.....

Different people have/lack different skills. Apparently, your coworker has good visual perception, while other skills are impaired. Your manager, on the other hand, probably has better verbal skills and poor visual perception. No one skill, or lack thereof, determines a person's intellectual functioning level. It's how the whole thing comes together and what kind of overall functioning the person comes out with.

To give a better example, I've seen kids who can read quite well. However, they don't understand a word of it. Reading without comprehension is just "word calling", and not very functional.

There are also some people who don't do well under stress and therefore don't "test well". They may not necessarily test below 70 percentile but defiantly below their actual intelligence.
On the flip side, there's the people who test high but can't socialize (think of the characters Temperance Brennan on "Bones" and Sheldon on "Big Bang Theory").

Quote: you might be right on my challenged co-worker, but the managers in question and some others in the company have gotten their jobs for whom they are friends with or married to, the company was almost ready to go to bankruptcy court but a private equity company bought us out at the last minute and fortunately most of the worthless management have been eliminated, but not all of them.

How do you measure idiot savants, or people like, "Rain man"? On one hand they are very smart, but they don't realize that they are being smart, they are just noticing things that it takes the rest of us time to figure out. Such as counting a large number of object in a fraction of a second. On the other hand they can't tie their shoes, or deal with social issues.
Multiple intelligences. These people tend to have high IQs, but struggle in other areas. My little brother is this way. over 145 IQ, but so socially inept that he can't hold down a job or live independantly.

I hand some eggs to my neighbors who live 4 miles away. They are cattle ranchers, and know nothing about chickens.
Me: "Here are some eggs from our chickens."
They open up the container's cover. They see some green eggs mixed in with the blue, brown, and white.
Them: "Are the green eggs moldy?"

My mom told me this one. All except for one lady of the people who work there have chickens:
She brings in some eggs to the veterinarian office where she works.
Her: "Here everybody. I brought in some eggs from our chickens we can have at lunch break."
Lady: "Ew, I don't want to eat eggs that came out of your chicken's butt."
Her: "Where do you think they come from, a machine?"

I got a good one today. I was showing a friend of my husbands my flock and with wonderful timing our barred rock hen, Spotted Butt, went into the coop. So we chit chatted a little bit, I didn't tell him what I was waiting for. After she came out I told him to go look and he saw the egg and wouldn't touch it. "Where did it come from?" he asked.

Me:"The chicken laid it"

Him"But where did he get it?!" (yes he said he, she has a comb so he thought she was a roo)

My grandpa saw my flock of red pullets and brown leghorns and says to me "those right there are meat chickens" I told him they were dual purpose birds. They would lay plenty of eggs but we could eat them if we wanted. That was last summer and still to this day he insists that my "meat chickens" don't lay eggs. Hmm I wonder where all our eggs come from then lol
