Dumbest Things People Have Said About Your Chickens/Eggs/Meat

We let our roosters hang out with our hens, but we don't let our eggs hang out in the nesting boxes! I still tell customers they might want to crack eggs into a bowl first, just in case. We have a coop rule about eggs found in unusual places ... we don't sell those.

Lol I don't sell my eggs, but I totally understand where you're coming from. I wish I could let my chickens out to free roam, but I had a nasty run in with a huge batch of eggs spoiling under my porch.

Lol. I'm the opposite. I love vampire, werewolves, zombies, fae and anything else supernatural. I even love that mixed with romance

I do enjoy westerns and such too though.

I like a lot of the classic horror like H.P. Lovecraft. Poe is amazing. I tend more enjoy the realists like Dostoyevsky. Thankfully there are as many styles of reading material as there are types of people.

Gee, Bill, did it take you a long time to get this snarky or were you just naturally gifted at birth? I really don't care if he's proud of me or not...I know I am not proud of him and neither is anyone else in our family and that is our prerogative. What's more important is I don't care what your opinion is on the subject and since he's my kid and not yours, why don't you keep your editorial comments to yourself.

I am going to school to be an RVT (registered vet tech) so you would think that most people wouldn't be bothered by chickens, but I swear I get the stupidest comments ever.

1.Well do the chickens need a rooster to lay and egg.
2.Eww so if the rooster mates the hen and I crack my egg will I get an baby chick inside... Umm NO, the hen has to sit on the eggs to make a chick
3. Why do you let your chicken scratch through the cow poop that is disgusting and I would never eat your eggs. They scratch through the poop to eat the undigested seed.
4. You're eggs are disgusting because they're double yolked and I would never eat those.

This is just some of the crap I hear. I am amazed the questions or comment that are made out of plain ignorance! If people only realized the eggs they bought in the store are about 4-6 weeks old and they're most susceptible to being bad because they're bleached which makes their shells more porous.
