Not only that, but it was a gorgeous ORGANIC salad with all of the ingredients coming from my yard .... including the chopped up hard boiled eggs in it. Darn right I'm giving it to my chickens!!! They get only the very best!

I had to make my chickens some chicken noodle soup last night after I opened TWO bags of bad feed. It. Was. Nasty. When we took it back, one girl was like "smells fine to me, that's what feed is supposed to smell like".

No, chicken feed should not smell like a dumpster used to throw away dead animals.

Oh, I wasn't suggesting you actually feed that stuff to your babies ... just tell the idiot that you'll gladly provide her with those eggs and see what she thinks. After all, if we are what we eat, can't you imagine the stinky eggs??

The girls are outside, just doing chicken stuff, when I heard Blanch sing her egg song from the hen house. Finally, she walked down the ramp into the run and out the door into the yard, still bragging about her accomplishment. I was standing on the porch, watching and praising her, when I saw a black & white fuzzy four-legged thing walk down the ramp into the run, behind her, tail high and flicking proudly … like a cat in the hen house is a normal thing.
