I find that mostly we do though. For plates, utencils, mugs and glasses it would work great. Taking more seldom used items and putting them back in their spots would be a lot less work than emptying out everything. And once you put the other machine on, you could just empty out whatever is left in the first one, I'm betting it would be a lot less than what you'd normally have in a full dishwasher. If I ever have the chance to design a kitchen with a large footprint, I might put in two washers next to each other. Another thing I like, is dishwashers that are installed a bit higher than floor height. Make's emptying and filling them a lot more comfortable. If someone has the spare cash to put in two washers, I don't see a problem in it. But of course you can manage perfectly well with just one too. Still beats doing all the dishes by hand. Both are a way of making things easier for yourself. With two washers, you're just a bit lazier.Seems like one of those ideas that sounds great but is not all that in practice. It's not as if you use the exact same dishes each day or something.
I dunno, some days you have a bowl of cereal for breakfast and soup for dinner, some days it's scrambled eggs and steak...I find that mostly we do though. Quote: Child labor, I like it! I wonder if the neighbor's kids would start doing our dishes too...
Dogs clear any spills in nanoseconds, and then it's just a quick mopping.I've always said if I were to design a house, I'd put drains in the kitchen and bathroom floors plus a faucet for a hose. Imagine how handy they would be when washing floors! What a snap!!
I saw a interior design show where they put two dishwashers in the kitchen, one is being filled while you use dishes from the other, instead of putting them away. I thought it was a great idea, if you've got the space.
