I like to blame this "zero consequent" parenting. No spanking, time outs, no taking away privileges, no saying no! Don't even talk to them explaining what inappropriate about certain behaviours.Just do nothing let the kids do what they want they'll learn on there own... Or some crazy philosophy. It's other peoples kid that are the problem any way. Life has consequences so there should be consequences for kids who act like little you know what's.

Any way before some one else says it, got any more dumbest thing you ever heard stories?

You are so dead on, some of the kids I have seen need to be locked in the basement, with their parents, till they (the kids) are 25-30. Then bring them out & teach them to act like a human being. I work at one of the "Dollar Stores", and it is almost worse with the grandparents that come in with the grand kids...Grandma get me this, I want that, and they NEVER tell them NO! and they NEVER say Thank You, EVER!!! And it is from the little ones, up to the teenagers. And what is worse, I see so many grandparents now raising the grand kids, and the grandparents are letting the grand kids act like fools.

My girls have been taught to say Please, Thank You, Yes Mam & Excuse Me. If we go into a store, I tell them what we are going in the store for, and not to ask for anything. They will ask to go to the toy isle, but unless they bring their own money, I am not getting them anything. My girls would not dare ask their grandparents for anything at a store, they went to visit them last summer for a week, and I emailed a month early, a list of foods the girls usually ate (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and what they did not like. Nether of my girls like crunchy peanut butter, and I put it on the list of "Not Liked Foods". My FIL fixed my oldest a Crunchy PB sandwich, and she said no thank you. He was going to not let her get a ice cream when they went out, because she did not eat the sandwich. (grandparents had not seen the girls for almost 2 1/2 years) But then he said, because they were here on vacation, he changed his mind, and let her have the ice cream. I asked him, why he did not let her make a Ketchup Sandwich, he said "But it has no nutritional value. I thought, "So does eating nothing". My girls will choose fruit over candy, and milk over soda.

If my girls sassed back, they got a pop on the mouth, terrible twos in the store, pop on the butt, mis-behaved at home, sent to their room. Youngest did not listen to her Daddy last Sunday, and TV was taken away the rest of that day and all the next day. We have zero tolerance in our home, my girls are 7 & 9, and my hubby & I are older parents, and we will not have our children disrespect anyone or be disrespectful out in public.

Now back to our original program......

Mommy two wee ones
We're on the same page. And that's nice to see these days. My 2 1/2 year old says please thank you excuse me etc. I know 10 year olds that don't and there parents don't seem to care, oh well... Nothing wrong with correcting bad behaviour the word discipline just means teach, and that's what parents are for (grandparents too)
And yes back to the show!

If people had only an idea of how entertaining they are. !!!

I do try to educate....and the current "student" always tries to argue with me on how wrong I am. I say..."Ok...go and do your own research...then get back to me on it". These being adults of course.

I am on my 4th year with chickens, and getting more of an education daily wit them.

OK.....this is very embarrassing.

Disclaimer: I am an accidental chicken owner. This was my daughter's dream, she lost interest in chickens super fast, I took over, had to have a crash course in chicken management, and here I am today passionately in love with all things chicken.

Before this, I was blissfully ignorant like most people of all things chicken related. I had all kinds of chicken and egg misconceptions. But, the only one I can think of right now is this dumb one:

I thought that all chickens laid brown eggs and that in their natural state, they were brown. I thought that white eggs were simply bleached eggs by the the egg industry to make the eggs look more pleasing and palatable to the consumer.
