sorry - cannot read the whole thread, but:
I have had 2 people this week ask me ' do you eat the eggs?' No I throw thenm in the garbage! ***? some really stupid people out there. and one has a master's degree too that asked me that today.

When I first decided I wanted chickens. I was going to start with two of my aunts hens (she was moving and had to get rid of about 3 dozen chickens). My dad was convinced that you needed a rooster for them to lay eggs. Me and my mom both had to convince him otherwise.

It works, I swear! We have that exact sign and the Jehovah's don't even visit us anymore. Amazing how many people would come through a closed gate before we got the sign.

Yeah, and we have Pygmies too. One of them really likes to rub up against people's legs. Even the grumpy UPS guy thinks it's cute when I have to chase the "baby" out from under the truck, but they thought it was horrible. Goats are the spawn of Satan, I guess....At least mine are....
