That was the problem I was having. I have a broody BO right now that keeps trying to hatch the golf ball so I removed it. I don't have any roos and collect my eggs often, except for the golf ball. So she has been trying to hatch the golf ball. But, since I took it out, she has been in the nest boxes all day all fluffed up trying to hatch the shavings so I don't think it has helped at all. Gonna try another cold water dip in the morning.
