DUMMY NEST EGGS !

Anyone one know of a good place online to buy dummy nest eggs cheap? I need some to train some young hens to lay in the nest boxes instead on the coop floor. Thanks

I've looked on ebay and amazon but dont really find much that isnt located overseas. Would prefer to purchase from someone in the states.

Check your local feedstore. Another place is at a craft store like hobby lobby.

Okay, A couple of ideas for dummy nest eggs ---- one plastic easter eggs are just as good as more expensive wooden ones. I've used both. With the plastic ones, we add small rocks inside to keep them heavy...... Or another option is to get real eggs, blow out the insides and clean well and you have a good usable model...if you really want a wooden one, you could post this over in want to buy.... You might find someone nearby who could help.

I have to tell you a cutie story, when we used the easter eggs(plastic) One of our chicken, managed to get the eggs apart and then layed an egg in it for 3 straight layings.... I loved it, but then she stopped that...... Love our poultry. Good luck with your search... Hope this helped a little ...

No reason to buy fake eggs. Like bargain said, use plastic easter eggs taped up with sand or rocks in them. The girls won't care if they're the wrong color!

I have some plastic easter eggs I think left from my sons last easter egg hunt. Guess it cant hurt to give those a try. Thanks

I bought mine at cracker barrell, they look just like real eggs
