Dumped chickens, mixed breed?

Hi there.

Just rescued two dumped chickens from the woods near me and I'm guessing they are boys? I have no idea about breed though but guessing mixed breed? Also what age do you think they are? They aren't crowing at the moment so I'm thinking they aren't that old?

Both cockerels. I would guess 14-16 weeks based in how mine look at that age, but it's just a guess because I do not have an idea on the breed. I would agree they are probably mixed.

Age? Maybe 4-4.5 months be my guess. About time for them to start getting cocky.

They look like Welsummer mixes to me. You did a good thing by rescuing them. The person that just dumped them should be ashamed!

Both cockerels and look to be mixes. I think one is blind in one eye - if my eyesight is correct. Congratulations on saving them!

Yeah I noticed that but I think it might be a trick of the light or something since it doesn't show up on another photo, I'll look after work.
