Dumping ducks a big no no

Whilst I fully agree with all of the above and would never abandon any animal/bird -I do find myself in a worrying situation at the moment as my last hatch of 6 eggs bore 5 males and only 1 female. I'm trying to rehome 2/3 of my absolutely gorgeous males but am having no such luck at present.
Getting worried as by next spring I will have a BIG problem if my flock stays the same.
Still would never dump though......must think of something.
@Duck mommy 2019 had a problem a lot like this. Everyone was telling her to cull, but this is not and option for most people including me, so she found success in separation. I bet she can help you with an idea. :fl

separating the flock when the genders get too far off is only possible when you've got an enormous amount of space and a buttload of time on your hands - it's not feasible for most backyard/hobby keepers. Culling IS a possibility, it's just not a desirable one. But when you choose to hatch your own or buy unsexed thats a responsibility you need to take on, just like its your responsibility to not release animals you dont want anymore into the wild. The way to get around having to cull males is to buy sexed adults. It's not as cute, but that's the solution for those unwilling to cull and unable to find homes.

This make sense. You could also try to rehome the females and keep just the males. If you want eggs though then you will want females.
