just to be absolutely certain i've read everything correctly . . .

during the last three days of incubation, days 18, 19, 20 it is crucial that you:

1. stop turning the eggs
2. not open the bator no matter what.

is this correct?

and if one is incubating serama eggs that typically hatch on day 19 then one stops turning/opening the bator for days 16, 17, 18 - right?

and the reason you don't open the bator is because you want to keep the humidity high - correct?

thanks ya'll!

Do all strains of seramas hatch on day 19? I would venture to say, that if the eggs aren't from a breeder who specfied their birds hatch on day 19, they will hatch on day 21 like all other banties and standards.

we aren't there yet - only day 12 for the little giant and 9 for the R-com - i'm just trying to get my info all sorted out ahead of time.
i will email my serama source to see what day to expect a hatch.
thanks ya'll!

i got a response back from the fella who sold me the serama eggs. he says that his start to hatch around hour 20 on day 19.
so that's good to know!
