I know exactly what goes on, I don't wash my chicken and eat chicken a lot. Don't ever go out to eat, ever wonder what happens in the kitchens during prep, before you get your nice meal at a restaurant.![]()
I don't wash chicken I buy at the store, for over a decade, since I read or saw on TV that you shouldn't. It's much more flavorful and doesn't spread salmonella everywhere. I just cook till internal temp reaches 3 Kelvin. GC
I wash the dog bowl outside, swish the inside with a handful of leaves/straw (I had a brush but can't find it), then toss the water and rinse.
No soap/bleach.
I will do a bleach wash in the Spring and then again in the Fall right before Winter.
They would rather drink the nasty water left in the MUD. They did that after I gave them nice clean water......... after seeing that I stopped being picky
